As a specialist in corporate finance transactions and M&A in the middle-market segment, Emili has been involved in various types of purchase-sale transactions and financial restructuring processes.
He has extensive experience in financial analysis, valuation of companies and the preparation of business plans. Emili has played a leading role in developing and opening up AddVANTE at the international level. His strong background working with the management teams of multinational corporations represents a significant contribution to the initiatives undertaken by the team.
Emili is a graduate of the University of Barcelona’s economics and business studies program and has earned an MBA through La Salle – Barcelona and Philadelphia University (U.S.). He has specialized training in both economic-financial assessment of business projects and strategic negotiating. He holds a Master’s degree in corporate finance/mergers and acquisitions from Ramón Llull University – ESADE. He is an instructor for courses on topics related to strategy and finance.

Harvey, the Managing Visionary Partner and Co-founding Partner of RBZ, and has more than 35 years of public accounting experience. Throughout his entire career, Harvey has provided tax, accounting and business consulting services to the real estate industry. His clients include land developers, residential and commercial builders, property managers, investors and commercial building owners, architectural firms, general contractors and construction companies. Harvey also heads up the firm’s Real Estate Services Group and has provided capital and mezzanine financing of over $350,000,000 for real estate investments. In addition, Harvey works with high-net-worth individuals and families and specializes in estate planning, charitable giving, and dealing with financial issues relating to children, divorce and the development of strategies to pass family businesses from one generation to the next – a method he has developed and has registered a registered trademark for called, “Therapeutic Accounting®.”
Harvey oversees a wide range of services which include entity selection, structuring and negotiating acquisitions and dispositions, pre-acquisition due diligence, debt restructuring, property repositioning strategies, foreign ownership, succession planning and tax-free exchanges. His goal is to anticipate his clients’ needs, ask the right questions, and then develop meaningful ideas and solutions that enable his clients to stay ahead of their competitors in the marketplace.
Beyond his commitment to his clients, Harvey established the Harvey and Harriet Bookstein Chair in Taxation within the California State University, Northridge (CSUN) College of Business and Economics in 2005. This endowment also funds the Bookstein Institute for Higher Education in Taxation (Master in Taxation). In addition, Harvey currently serves as a Director for Mitos Pharmaceuticals and is on the Board of Directors for the CSUN Foundation, the CSUN University Corporation and the CSUN College of Business and Economics Advisory Board. In the past, Harvey has served on the Board of Directors for The Entrepreneurship Institute, Northridge, and is a former President and Board Member of Los Angeles Telecommunications Commission, past Chairman of United Cerebral Palsy/Spastic Children’s Foundation of Greater Los Angeles/Ventura, past Board Member of Hathaway Children’s Services and Phoenix House, and was the Chairman of a California-based bank.
Harvey is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Harvey graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from California State University, Northridge and is a graduate of Leadership Los Angeles. In 2009, he received the prestigious “Distinguished Alumni Award” from the CSUN Alumni Association. This annual event recognizes alumni for their professional achievements and service during their careers.
Ken is a founding shareholder of Kirkland Albrecht & Fredrickson, P.C., and is the managing partner of KAF Financial Group. He has over 20 years of experience in public accounting, concentrating in tax consulting and compliance.
Ken is a member of the Massachusetts Society of CPAs and is currently a member of the Board of Directors. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Ken serves on the Board of Trustees for the South Shore Hospital Health and Educational Foundation, and is Chair of the President’s Circle for the South Shore Hospital.
Ken earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from New Hampshire College and Master’s Degree in Taxation from Bentley College. He holds securities Series 6 and 66 licenses from the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Ken is a featured speaker at business conferences, and provides insight into the new trends in the accounting industry. In his tax practice, Ken concentrates on succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, and in structuring shareholder buy-sell agreements. Ken has also served as a mediator in several shareholder disputes.
Rob is both a licensed certified public accountant and attorney in Pennsylvania and a licensed attorney in New Jersey. He divides his time at PBGW between the Accounting Services and Litigation Support departments.
In the Accounting Services department, Rob has extensive experience with the formation and development of partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations. In addition, Rob has participated in the development of numerous business plans and projections for businesses. A member of PBGW's Litigation Support Department, he has experience in both corporate and domestic disputes. Prior to joining our firm, Rob practiced bankruptcy, corporate, and nonprofit law.
Rob has appeared as an expert before the Domestic Relations Section of the Court of Common Pleas of Bucks County. As an attorney, he has appeared in both the U.S. Bankruptcy Court and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Rob is a graduate of Washington & Lee University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration/Accounting. He completed his post-graduate studies at Washington & Lee School of Law. Rob is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Mark qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982. He is an audit partner and also holds an insolvency licence. His clients are involved in manufacturing, property and charitable activities as well as bars/restaurants and the arts. Mark is also the firm's specialist adviser on inward investment.
Roy had worked in industry for 13 years before setting up this consultancy firm in 1993. Roy Varghese & Associates currently has four partners, more than 50 staff and offices in Chennai, Cochin and Trivandrum in India. The firm has leading clients in agri business, financial services, hospitality, infrastucure, IT and telecom. Roy specializes in inbound/outbound investments, strategic financial planning, M & A and cross-border taxation.
Roy is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) and a member of both the Institute of Internal Auditors and the All India Management Association.
A frequent speaker at conferences, he has presented professional topics at the International Accountants Conferences. Roy is an adviser/board member of multinational corporations operating in India.
Joe, a Certified Public Accountant, has more than 35 years of experience in public accounting. His concentration has been in tax, accounting, state auditing and litigation support. The firm is a member of the Public Companies Oversight Board (PCAOB), and he is Partner-In-Charge or concurrent reviewer for numerous Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Registrants.
Joe earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Miami in 1973. He obtained his CPA certificate from the State of Florida Board of Accountancy in 1975. He joined the accounting firm of Harris Kerr Forster & Company and then became a Partner with Silver Berkovits & Dix & Company in 1982. In 1990 the firm of Berkovits & Company, LLP was formed and merged with Mallah Furman in 2009.
Joe is a member of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Joe has served on the Board of Trustees for the City of Plantation Police Pension Board and as president or treasurer of numerous civic and professional organizations in the South Florida community, including the Soref Jewish Community Center of Fort Lauderdale and the Plantation Chamber of Commerce. Joe has also served as treasurer for political campaigns for both state and local positions. In addition, he currently serves on the JHI Region of the Americas Executive Committee.
On numerous occasions, Joe has been invited to speak on tax and accounting issues by various organizations.
Blair joined the firm in 1975 and became a partner in 1981. In 2007 he took on the role of the firm’s managing partner. His specialties include real estate development, insurance as well as providing accounting and auditing services to owner-managed businesses, not-for-profit organizations and condominium corporations. As a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Blair provides a high level of service to the owner-managed businesses and professional clients in his practice, as well as being a resource for the firm’s personal financial planning area.
Blair is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from Carleton University. He became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in 1977 and a member of the Financial Planners Standard Council in 1999.
Blair is dedicated to the firm and also to his community. He is a very active member within the community through his involvement with the Rotary Club of Ottawa and its many avenues of service and also through his local church. Blair has been president of his Rotary club and served as chairman of many committees. He also has been treasurer of a number of organizations and chaired the building committee of his local church through an $11,000,000 expansion.
Joe has worked at Ruby Stein Wagner since he graduated from Concordia University. He was admitted to partnership in 1985, and he has been the Managing Partner of the firm since 1996. His practice area is primarily in business consulting for small- to medium-sized, family-owned businesses. He is fluent in English, French and Hungarian.
Joe is a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting graduate from Concordia University. He continued his studies at McGill University, where he received the Graduate Diploma in Public Accounting in 1979, the same year that he successfully passed the Uniform Final Examination of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He also qualified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 1993. Joe is currently a member of the
Ordre des Comptables Agréés du Québec, the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario and of the
American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
In addition to his professional responsibilities, Joe has been involved in various charitable organizations in various capacities. Currently, he is a director and treasurer of the Alzheimer Society of Montreal and Congregation Beth El, a synagogue serving over 600 families.
Christine’s accounting experience began in New Zealand where she was employed with one of the international chartered accountancy firms in Auckland for two and a half years, and spent a further year working as a Corporate Accountant.
She has an international perspective and work experience. Christine spent two and a half years in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, as a senior accountant with an international accounting firm. She has also lived and worked in Phuket, Thailand, for three and a half years as a Corporate Accountant in the tourist industry.
Christine has been a HWI staff member since the firm opened in September 1997. During the last six years, she has assumed greater responsibility within the firm for accounting services clients and was promoted as an Associate in 2001. Christine has undertaken the major role of ensuring clients’ financial statements meet the various Financial Reporting Standards.
Christine is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from Auckland University and a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Tony joined Byrne Curtin Kelly (formally Byrne Curtin Clyne) as Partner in July 1998. He is a member in practice and Fellow of both the Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FCPA) in Ireland and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and is licensed to audit limited companies in Ireland and the UK.
Tony has over 25 years of commercial experience dealing with clients from all sectors, including hotel and leisure, bars/restaurants, and distribution and processing companies, providing auditing and business consultancy services. Tony also works extensively with clients developing business plans and strategies and negotiating finance with banks and investors for specific projects.
He currently serves on the Audit and Technical Committees of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (ICPAI) and specifically the Auditing Practices sub-committee. He has lectured extensively for ICPAI, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland (ICAI) and ACCA continuing professional education programmes for members, specializing in the areas of auditing and accounting.
Tony is Director of the Board of the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority (IAASA), which was established by the Irish government and is tasked with supervision of the accountancy profession in Ireland. The board consists of 14 members from a broad group including the financial regulator, Director of Corporate Enforcement, Revenue Commissioners Stock Exchange, Law Society and the accountancy profession, of which Tony is one of 3 permitted nominees.
Helmut has many years of experience in the field of tax consultancy and auditing services for enterprises. He graduated in business administration (Higher Technical College) and is an auditor and a tax consultant.
As well as heading up the Auditing Services Division at Lohrmann Riehle Lätsch Durach Helmut & Kollegen is responsible for the field of business management advice and accounting services. He also coordinates integration in JHI.
Helmut is a member of the Administrative Council of the Institute of Auditors (IDW), where he represents primarily the interests of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Dan has a wealth of experience gathered over more than 30 years with public accounting firms and in corporate and senior management in resources, mining, manufacturing, business process re-engineering, process and system reviews, feasibility studies, procurement and implementation of gold loans. He is a Justice of the Peace, Registered Tax Agent, Registered Non-Profit Organization Auditor and Cooperative Company Auditor.
Dan has valuable audit and accounting exposure to the statutory reporting requirements under the Australian Corporations Law, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards relating to commercial business operations in the private sector and Finance Administration and Audit Act requirements relating to the public sector. This has enabled him to develop excellent analytical, administrative and communication skills.
Dan is a Certified Public Accountant and a Fellow Professional National Accountant (FPNA) with the National Institute of Accountants in Australia and a Fellow of the following organizations: the Institute of Chartered Company Secretaries Australia & UK (FCIS), the Institute of Corporate Managers, Secretaries & Administrators and the National Tax & Accountants’ Association (NTAA).
A Master of Business Administration (MBA) Finance graduate from Canbourne University (UK), Dan has his Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting and Auditing, and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Corporate Management, A Chartered Company Secretary.
Dan was approved as a Justice of the Peace in 2004. He is also Treasurer and Chairperson of the Public Practice Discussion Group, an active member of the Continuing Professional Education Committee and represents NIA at the Australian Tax Office on the Small Practice Tax Liaison Group.
Brian commenced his career with the Australian Taxation Office. He progressed through a number of positions, gaining experience in tax audits and appeals, and conducted in-house training courses on taxation, company law and the use of offshore tax havens. Brian also lectured part-time on taxation law at the Mt Gravatt Technical and Further Education Institute (TAFE) for 10 years.
After 16 years with the Taxation Office, Brian decided to utilise his talents and experience for the benefits of taxpayers. Brian had several years’ experience with a big-four firm before joining Charts Partners where he is a Partner.
Brian has had considerable involvement in superannuation, tax audits, capital gains, GST and fringe benefits tax. He has undertaken assignments on the capital gains tax implications of mergers and acquisitions, transfers of assets and business structuring. Since joining Charts Partners, Brian has continued his involvement in all aspects of tax planning and widened his experience to include financial management, government grants, research and development incentives and capital raising.
Brian is a Bachelor of Commerce graduate from the University of Queensland.
Norman is a Director of knp Solutions Pty Ltd – a multidiscipline business advisory service provider. He has been a Director and Shareholder of knp since July 1985. In that time, he experienced nine changes to the shareholding and is currently Managing Director of the company.
Norman has more than 10 years experience is facilitating strategic planning and teambuilding workshops for a variety of businesses including Accounting, Legal, Association Management and Information Technology service providers, real estate agents, toy importers, waste management providers and packaging manufacturers in Australia, New Zealand, England and the U.S.A.
From 2001 to 2004, Norman was International Chairman of Jeffreys Henry International during the time that Jeffreys Henry International and the Associated Conference of Practicing Accountants (ACPA) merged to create JHI. He is currently Vice Chair of the JHI Asia-Pacific Region.
Norman is a Bachelor of Economics graduate from Monash University and has his Graduate Certificate of Business in Leadership and Organisation Dynamics from the Swinburne University of Technology. In addition, he is qualified and accredited to administer the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and has completed Effective Facilitation and Family Business Facilitation courses.
Norman is a Fellow of both the Taxation Institute of Australia and the Association of Taxation and Management Accountants of Australia and an Affiliate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
Lim Yeong Seng of Kong Lim & Partners, holds a Certified Public Accountant’s Practicing License and is an Approved Company Liquidator with more than 20 years experience in the accounting profession.
His firm provides professional services to a diversified client-base, including government bodies, pubic companies and educational institutions and clubs.
Lim has extensive experience in the areas of consultancy, liquidation and litigation support, audit and related services. His work in the consultancy area includes advising businesses from start-up and assisting them in their growth, performing reconstruction and restructuring of businesses. In the liquidation and litigation support area, Lim has acted as a judicial manager and liquidator for many insolvent companies and acted as an expert witness in Subordinate Courts, the High Court and arbitration cases. His experience in the audit area includes performing due diligence for clients selling their businesses and for clients wanting to buy target companies and providing regulatory compliance, operational and internal audit services.
Lim is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore (ICPAS) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICCA). He is a Bachelor of Accountancy graduate from the National University of Singapore.
Frank, a Certified Public Accountant (“Wirtschaftsprüfer”) and Certified Tax Advisor (“Steuerberater”), has a strategic focus on audit and due diligence, transaction and advisory services. He has 10 year’s experience in auditing listed companies according to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), as well as companies in the middle-market segment according to local GAAP.
Frank’s other practice areas are valuations and expertise statements as well as Purchase-Price-Allocations. Frank has also led a considerable number of due diligence assignments in Germany both for financial and strategic investors (national and international) for various types of transactions (e.g., mergers, joint-ventures, management buyouts, capital participation, carve-outs, equity-capital, IPOs) and industries (e.g., in manufacturing, automotive, machinery and food industry).
After a banking traineeship for two years, Frank studied business administration at the University of Regensburg. Prior to joining RP Richter & Partner in 2006, Frank worked for more than seven years for RSM Hemmelrath in Munich. Frank is a member of both the German Chamber of Certified Public Accountants (WPK) and the German Institute of Certified Public Accountants (IDW). Juan is the firm’s designated principal for employee benefit plans and is a member of the Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center. He also provides services for benefit plans required to file Form 11K with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Juan has assisted in bond feasibility reviews, compliance reviews of federal funding, litigation support, process reviews, management evaluations, employment searches and transition management, along with risk identification and profit enhancement.
Prior to joining MFR, he was with a Big Four firm for seven years.
